Mason2152
Trying to draw a theatre. The house has an arced layout that also rakes. So the floor rakes up 1.5' along the radii instead of straight from the stage so it is sort of a very shallow bowl segment. If the arc was a full circle it would be about 203' in diameter, also the center of the circle would exist some 50' from the section being used. How do I create this shape? Quote Link to comment
Kevin McAllister
I would draw a cross section of the rake in 2d, add a 2d loci for the centre of the arc and create a sweep. Its likely you'll have to create a sweep that's too big, rotate it into the proper orientation for the room and then trim it using the Knife tool to fit the architecture. Kevin Quote Link to comment
Mason2152
Thanks Kevin, That's exactly what I did and it worked great. Quote Link to comment
