CipesDesign Posted August 29, 2004 Share Posted August 29, 2004 You will need to save the VW's 10 files (one at a time) back to the earlier version. You do this (or ask whoever has sent you the file to do this) with the file open by going to FILE>EXPORT>EXPORT AS MINICAD 7 FILE. This will create a copy of the file which can be opened in MiniCad 7. In order to 'open' a dxf or dwg you will need to import it. Do thos by opening a new (blank) file, then go to FILE>IMPORT DXF/DWG. Follow the prompts. Hope that helps. By the way, are actually still using MiniCad 7 ??? Quote Link to comment
Guest Posted August 30, 2004 Share Posted August 30, 2004 MC 7 can only import version 11 (i think) or earlier of dxf/dwg. You'll need to either export to that version or earlier from VW or AutoCAD in order to open a dxf/dwg file in MC 7. Please note, by going so far back, you may loose certain types of objects because of limited technology available at the time MC 7 was published. Quote Link to comment
