SIMPLE SPACE TOOL

We've not used the Space Tool in the past relying on Worksheets that go & fetch the Areas of particular rooms. I've often thought that the Space Tool might be helpful but a little playing around, reading help & looking at the videos give me the idea that it's kinda the opposite of user friendly. If anyone can help with these couple of questions that would help me determine if I need to use this tool or not.

 

1) We have 4 kinds of room labels Simple Name, RM Name & Number, Name Number & Area, Name Number Area & dimensions 

          - Do I need to have 4 symbols or is there some way to customize each Space?

2) The default seems to be 3 decimal places to the Area calculation

          - How does one limit this to one or two numbers?

3) Is there a Simple Space tool alternative? A cross between the Simple Room Name tool & the Space Tool?
