Viper x
I am following normal DWG importing steps into 10.5 and for the first time the drawing is coming in as one entire symbol ? I can double click on the drawing and all the numerous classes become editable when I am edit symbol mode, but why has it come in as a symbol, it is an A1 drawing at 1:200 What is the problem ? Thanks Viper x [ 06-02-2004, 09:28 AM: Message edited by: Viper x ] Quote Link to comment
Guest
Use the "Import DXF DWG" rather than "Import DXF DWG As Symbol". Quote Link to comment
Viper x
Hi Katie, I have imported the drawing on 5 occassions making sure I use "Import DXF DWG" and not "Import DXF DWG As Symbol". and it comes in as a symbol every time. Is there something else I could be doing wrong please ? Thanks Quote Link to comment
Viper x
I just did it for the sixth time and again it came in as one huge symbol ? It even shows up in the Resource browser as a symbol/plug in object. Is there a simple way of converting it to lines ? when I select the symbol and click on convert to lines it has no effect. Viper x
I have just tried to import a drawing that came in fine earlier today as lines and not a symbol and now it is also coming in as a symbol ? What is going on Quote Link to comment
Viper x
It is still doing it. The only difference to other imported drawings seems to be that in the import process the Paper Space Units is ticked on "by layout" Whereas in drawings that are coming in fine this box shows "no paper space found" Does this mean anything Katie ? Viper x
File has been e-mailed to you Katie Does this paper space issue have any bearing on the problem ? Quote Link to comment
Guest
Once I opened the file in AutoCAD, the objects are a symbol (block) in the AutoCAD file. Quote Link to comment
