Arch
In the standard workspace you can see the area of a polygon in the object info box but not when you switch to classic! How can this be rectified? Quote Link to comment
Guest
The area and permieter of a polygon should be present in the OIP despite the workspace. First, make sure you have the polygon selected. Second, make sure the object is in fact a polygon by looking at the top of the OIP under the Shape tab. It should read "polygon". If you see extrude, or 3d polygon at the top, you will not get the area in the lower section of the OIP. Quote Link to comment
Arch
I have checked all of these things but still no area showed apart from in the standard workspace!! The OIP box in classic does not scroll down further than the amount of vertices! Quote Link to comment
Arch
another thing i just noticed is that the arrows at the bottom of the OIP seem to think there is something below the 'number of vertices' but will not scroll down past this point. The arrows disappear in the standard workspace when you get to perimeter and area!! Quote Link to comment
Arch
After playing around with the OIP a little more it seems that the arrows don't scroll down as I described before but, area and perimeter appear when the box is pulled out larger?!! Thanks Quote Link to comment
