Vision Transparency Issues

Currently attempting to send custom drops from Vectorworks to Vision. Transparency works perfectly in Vectorworks - both using an image prop, and texture properties. However, Importing to Vision I find that it completely ignores any Transparency. Same thing with Scrim textures.


Is this something Vision just can't do right now? Or am I doing something wrong.

Hey Ted,


You are spot on, Vision calculates lights as real lights, not painted cones of color, so projecting that light through transparent surfaces in real time is a bit out of reach for current graphics hardware. We try to keep things accurate to the real world with Vision, and as of yet we haven't found a way to do that accurately (and not melt GPUs).
