propstuff
Can anyone decipher this usefull message? I've been working on a DTM and for the most part it's all been working well. Then I added a site modifier pad and fence, and upon modifying the Model everything ground to a halt. After a looong time watching the Spinning Beach Ball of Death I got the Miscellaneous Error (20,2) message. Huh? N. Quote Link to comment
Guest
It means the data is too complex to be calculated. You'll need to filter the 3d polys using the "Filter 3d polys" command. This will remove vertex points along the 3d polys to simplify the triangulation of the DTM. Depending on the number of vertices in the drawing, you may need to enter a small or large number here. If you have over 5000 vertices, you'll need to enter a large number there, such as 10 or 20. Don't worry though, removing the vertices will not drastically alter the triangulation in the model. Before you do all that though, check to make sure you don't have any 3d polys crossing using the Check 3d Polys command. [ 02-18-2004, 11:45 AM: Message edited by: Katie ] Quote Link to comment
