blittrell
I am looking for the best way to set up views of elevation drawings in my orthographic model views; front, rear, etc. These are drawings from a designer with different; CAD, workflows. I hoped I might do them as viewport references in a vertical working plane so that when he makes an update change in elevation in 2D, I can then compare to with the model, and ensure its coordination. Thanks! Quote Link to comment
Kevin McAllister
Are they working in 3d or are they drawing 2d elevations flattened on the ground plane? This will affect how they come in if they're sending you DWG files. The most reliable way might be to import their elevations as linked PDF files. You can make the PDFs planar and rotate them vertically if needed. When you update the linked PDF file, the PDFs in your drawing would update. Kevin Quote Link to comment
