2016 Plant grouping

Since the second VW service pack came out I've been using 2016 with little trouble. Today I tried to group together two identical planting and make them one. When I do this all the plants disappear and I get a polygon formed far from the original location. Not seen this before?

The original plants were placed using the poly edged spacing mode and resulted in two plant groups.

Does the same thing happen in a new document? The closest I can get to replicating it is that when i start the combine process, the plants temporarily vanish and i only see the selection highlighting and handles, but then they reappear back where the plants originally were, grouped as expected.

Do you have a lot of sheet layers with complex work on them already? If not, migrating the contents of your file into a new blank one via Layer Import might be the best solution:

However, this currently only brings over design layers, classes and objects, not sheet layers or viewports on sheet layers.
