window insertion

Recommended Posts

The interior/exterior side is determined by the wall itself. The left side of the wall is always exterior. The flip just determines which way the window (or door) operates.

You can see this easily if you put a large exterior sill on a casement window. No amount of flipping will move the sill. Reversing the direction of the wall does it.

If you drew a single wall object, starting on the left of the screen and drawing it out to the right, the exterior of the wall would be on the top.

You can check this by selecting a single length of wall, there will by default be a small arrow indicator near one selection handle, this indicates the "direction" of the wall and if you were facing the same direction as this arrow, the exterior would always be on the left.
