zoomer
I do 3D Models only. Nevertheless I have prepared some 2d Plans, Sections and Side Views as Viewports on Sheet Layers to examine my model. I have Background OpenGL + Foreground Hidden Line. But each time I want to Update my SLVP's after I did some work, and I forgot to change my Screen View from Isometric to Top Plan Mode before I update, OpenGL part of the Viewports is ok but the Hidden Line Part is rotated in an Isometric fashion. So I have to Update alle Viewports again. Do I have any wrong Viewport Settings ? Quote Link to comment
Vectorworks, Inc Employee PVA - Admin Posted December 11, 2015 Vectorworks, Inc Employee Share Posted December 11, 2015 Its probably one of two things: Make sure you're working with Unified View on in the design layer, and you can also uncheck Display Planar Objects in the viewport, but depending what was included that may or may not require a re-render when you uncheck it, after that the objects should never appear again. zoomer
I had display planar objects on. Will try. The attached image shows how it looks. Sorry both off. Edited December 11, 2015 by zoomer Quote Link to comment
Vectorworks, Inc Employee PVA - Admin Posted December 11, 2015 Vectorworks, Inc Employee Share Posted December 11, 2015 At first glance that looks to be multiple viewports at various scales, unless those are actually elements in the same single viewport. Generally you'll want separate viewports for 2D and 3D objects to keep control if theyre being meshed together. Quote Link to comment
zoomer
No, these are just an elevation (2D) Viewports. It happens for the Floor Plans too. I have no 2D elements. These are just the generated VP's of my 3D model. Quote Link to comment
zoomer
Back render mode is set to open GL which works as expected. It is just the foreground render mode Hidden Line, (Because looks much better than lines activated in OpenGL) that renders in an (arbitrary) Isometric view, when I had my drawing viewport in Isometric view before I update the viewports. If I set my Design View Window to Top Plan mode before i hit the view updates, it will work fine. Quote Link to comment
Vectorworks, Inc Employee PVA - Admin Posted December 11, 2015 Vectorworks, Inc Employee Share Posted December 11, 2015 If you create a new viewport from scratch of the same objects, does it behave the same as these viewports do? If you alter the view to the desired one before creating the VP? Quote Link to comment
zoomer
Solution "Project Screen Objects" is needed to be activated. (Although I don't like and haven't any screen (plane?) objects) Quote Link to comment
Vectorworks, Inc Employee PVA - Admin Posted December 11, 2015 Vectorworks, Inc Employee Share Posted December 11, 2015 "Screen Objects" really just means 2D Planar geometry, not necessarily 2D objects on Screen plane. If it seems confusing, that's because it is confusing. Quote Link to comment
zoomer
I haven't any (wanted) 2D Geometry, other than I may have forgot to extrude something or some helper geometry. Seems like the Hidden Line Rendering or resulting Geometry - is some kind of 2D for VW (?) Quote Link to comment
