POA
First of all its worth noting Im at a relatively early stage of a project so walls etc. are likely to move around a fair bit. So heres the thing; I need to show on the elevations + sections a wall cladding system made up of full height 600mm and 900mm wide cladding panels arranged in a random order. I tried to accomplish this with a surface hatch applied to the walls but I can't get the randomness this way. Is my only option to draw lines on the faces of the walls or model individual panels? Both would be pretty annoying when it came to change the design around. Thanks for your time. Quote Link to comment
AlanW
You could always use the curtain wall tool and put random transoms in. Or make symbols for the various panels that you have and place them side by side and you then can change the symbol if needed as long as they are all the same overall dimension. Quote Link to comment
POA
Thanks Alan, I have had a play with the curtain wall tool and created something that works quite well. It would just mean removing the cladding component of the wall and sitting the curtain wall in front of it. This two wall approach will be awkward at this stage when things are moving around quite a lot but it looks like it could be the way to go later on. Quote Link to comment
