ChadL
I am wondering if there is a standard for what a dead hang symbol should look like? I use the ChainHoist tools, so I have all the standards there, but Samuel doesn't include anything for dead hangs. Thanks, Quote Link to comment
Benjamin Weill
I don't know if there is a visual standard for dead-hangs - I tend to just add a note it indicate how it's hung when I encounter these. Quote Link to comment
C. Andrew Dunning
Chad - I think Benjamin is correct. As long as you note what a particular Symbol represents, you're probable good. I'd just avoid one of the other standards. FWIW, here is the point convention I use: [img:center]http://www.landrudesign.com/Downloads/RiggingKey.jpg[/img] Quote Link to comment
ChadL
Andrew, I think from the symbols you posted the None would be the same as a dead hang. I am assuming none means no motor, fall arrest of block and fall. Quote Link to comment

I just chose not to use the phrase "dead hang" in my key as I didn't want that label to get confused with "bridleless." Quote Link to comment
