Rok
Hi peeps, Any chance anyone can help, is there a way to rotate the UCS in Fundamentals (v2012)? I know there's a "rotate plan" command but I can't seem to find it. I'm therefore assuming: a) I'm blind and b) it's not available in Fundamentals. If it isn't, is there a way round it? Vectorworks, Inc Employee PVA - Admin Posted November 12, 2014 Vectorworks, Inc Employee Share Posted November 12, 2014 It's design series only it looks like. To un-rotate though, you should be able to select View > Standard Views > top Plan, that should pop it back into place if another user has rotated it in another version of Vectorworks. Rok
Thanks Jim, I'm assuming you're saying that function isn't available in Fundamentals only to undo? Quote Link to comment
Vectorworks, Inc Employee PVA - Admin Posted November 12, 2014 Vectorworks, Inc Employee Share Posted November 12, 2014 Yes, correct. Apologies, when I first read your request I had gotten the impression you were trying to undo the rotation. Other than rotating the whole model around within the file, I do not know of a way to get the Rotated Plan effect in Fundamentals while still retaining the capabilities of Top/Plan view. Kevin McAllister
It might be possible by putting everything in a symbol and rotating the symbol. When you double click on a symbol in the drawing it edits in place (ie. the rotated position). If you choose the symbol in the Resource Browser and edit it, it will edit in the position it was created (ie. at zero rotation). Kevin Quote Link to comment
