whashisface
Hi I was just wondering if it was possible to apply an interior [or exterior] window/wall detail to only one side of the window. I have a section of one wall type which sits next to another wall type. The window is placed in one wall and I was hoping to use the interior wall detail on one side of the window and a custom wall end cap on the other. Thanks in advance! Quote Link to comment
whashisface
I think I've managed to figure this out. If you create a window that sits next to a wall but not within the wall you can the use a custom end wall cap tool to make the reveal you're after. You then need to make a symbol containing the wall end cap, a small section of the wall and the window. You can then apply the symbol to a window contained within a wall. I'd be interested to know if anyone has used this method before? How stable is it? My test file can be found here if anyone is interested: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/17200339/Window%20Tests.vwx Quote Link to comment
zoomer
Hi whashisface, I see your walls are overlapping. Isn't that a problem when calculating volumes and costs ? Quote Link to comment
