Bruce Kieffer
I'm working through Daniel Janenson's Remarkable Renderworks book, and I'm stuck. It appears there's a horizon in the Physical Sky Mostly Sunny HDRI background. I don't see that in other HDRI background images (I didn't look at all). Is there a way to adjust the level of the horizon? In Daniel's example file he blocks out the lower part of the background with an extrusion to simulate ground, and it appears that the Physical Sky Mostly Sunny he used which was from VW 2012 may be different than the current VW2014 version, and may not have a horizon. See it bigger! Edited August 28, 2014 by Bruce Kieffer Quote Link to comment
Vectorworks, Inc Employee PVA - Admin Posted September 2, 2014 Vectorworks, Inc Employee Share Posted September 2, 2014 I don't believe it can be relocated unless you edit the HDRI image directly, which for the physical sky isn't really doable. Most of the time I change the camera angle and cropping to cover the horizon line, but I will check and see if there is an intended way to edit this. Quote Link to comment
minotto
Yes i think it would be useful to be able to change the ground color/ texture as well in a HDRI background, so that the sky/ground rendering that results from displaying the RW camera could be duplicated in a RW background.
