kirk
i am trying to open a 3d model from SketchUp v14 to my 2009 Fundamentals with out much luck. i have perused a lot of boards saying to export it in SU v6 but i can't do that. any way to get around it? i can basically get it to open through dxf or dwg and correct the line weights but some of the shapes are twisted and mislocated. i know there has got to be a way! barkest
I do not have 2009 but would have thought that .3ds would work? Quote Link to comment
Vectorworks, Inc Employee PVA - Admin Posted August 19, 2014 Vectorworks, Inc Employee Share Posted August 19, 2014 They will be adding native Sketchup 2014 import format support soon, but it will not be coming to a version as old as Vectorworks 2009. As recommended above, I have heard exporting as 3DS will work for raw 3D geometry, but most of my users simply export the file to version 8 and it has then imported into Vectorworks 2014 as expected.
