John Windswept Design
Hi, I hope someone can help me with "wall auto join". I have it checked off in preferences but the walls do not stay joined when moved. I have never had this problem before just seemed to happen between projects. I reinstalled vectorworks but still the wall do not drag together or stay joined. Any help is very much appreciated. John Towgood Vancouver Island Quote Link to comment
Vectorworks, Inc Employee PVA - Admin Posted August 12, 2014 Vectorworks, Inc Employee Share Posted August 12, 2014 That is "Connected Walls Mode" in the mode bar of the Selection tool (not the Wall tool) If that is turned off, wall networks will just break up when you go to move walls within them. if you enable connected walls mode, it will attempt to adjust the network to include the moved wall in its new location. John Windswept Design
Thanks!! Maybe I should use the forum more often. Would be great if they put that toogle in the preferences as well. Again Thanks John T Quote Link to comment
zoomer
Thanks, I also had this problem. But shouldn't connected walls always stay connected, even when manually connected ? I normally have auto connect disabled as walls often connect strange in t-shaped with different wall thickness. I connect them manually in a certain order to get the desired result. Vectorworks, Inc Employee PVA - Admin Posted August 12, 2014 Vectorworks, Inc Employee Share Posted August 12, 2014 Normally yes, this option is on by default so that is the case. However it may have been disabled accidentally, hitting the p key on the keyboard toggles it when the selection tool is active. Quote Link to comment
