Schedule Databases

Tom Klaber

Question

I think some scheduling could benefit from a database control similar to the way that General Notes are Handled.

The user could define a category, such as fixtures, then define each item in that category, F-1 Boffi.... F-2 etc. with all of the required information for that specification.

THEN - and here is the tricky party - the user could then assign these items to rooms - probably easiest through spaces or a beefed up Room Tag.

THEN - we could created semi-automated schedules that combine these two data points - the location from the space or room tag and the specification data from the database.

This would be great for: Lights, Fixtures, Equipment, Accessories, Finishes, and probably more.

The more open ended this type of database tool is the better as people could customize it to keep track of specification tags and the locations and quantity of their specifications.

Thanks!
