grant_PD
I have a file with about 50 drawing labels, all inside 50 viewport annotations. They are all the wrong lineweight. How do I select them all and re-line weight them at the same time? Is this even possible? If it's not....shouldn't it be? Quote Link to comment
Vectorworks, Inc Employee PVA - Admin Posted December 23, 2013 Vectorworks, Inc Employee Share Posted December 23, 2013 If they were assigned to their own class(es) it can be done that way, however if they were already placed and were not classed separately from other geometry I do not think there is a way to bulk modify them after the fact. grant_PD
Ah.. Curious that my class was set to "use attributes on creation." Yet they only updated after I changed the attribute in the class away from what I wanted, to what I wanted, thus forcing the batch rework. Quote Link to comment
RickR
Of course there is a way I did this recently - Selecting: Custom Modification> by object type. - Brings up "Properties" dialog that is like the OIP but has a button for Attributes. - Click on that and set line values as you like. If you're not sure what you'll want then make a new class and use that. The one thing you can't do is change setting to "by Class" Quote Link to comment

The one thing you can't do is change setting to "by Class" This works the majority of the time, but there are some situations still where if the objects are within groups or viewport annotations that they may not come up in Custom Selection/Modification. These are going away more and more now, but there are still cases where it doesn't have full access to all objects. Edited December 24, 2013 by JimW Quote Link to comment
grant_PD
It would be good to be able to worksheet report any and all pios/symbols, and have as a data column any and all attributes. That way one could quickly look through title blocks, drawing labels, etc, and see if something was amiss. Quote Link to comment
RickR
I have worksheets for drawing labels and title blocks for their parameters, but didn't include basic attributes. I shared them here: http://techboard.vectorworks.net/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=193412#Post193412 Quote Link to comment
