sean.simpson
Could anyone advise me on how to create plot styles for plotting? I cant seem to figure out how to bring this into my drawings without going into each layout and altering each class one by one so that they print out with the properties that i want, eg. structural walls that are drawn with a red line always print black. I am using VW 2010 now but i am more used to using 'plot styles' or 'pen styles' in programs like AutoCAD or Nemetschek Allplan. any ideas or efficient methods for VW? Quote Link to comment
Vectorworks, Inc Employee PVA - Admin Posted December 17, 2013 Vectorworks, Inc Employee Share Posted December 17, 2013 There were Custom Line Types added in 2013: -that you could use via class overrides in viewports to control the appearance of lines for printing, unless I am misunderstanding what you are looking for. sean.simpson
The Video isnt really what im looking for, but your point about class overrides in viewports is. Until now this is how i adjust lines to print or plot with the desired properties, eg. a line that is red in the drawing area is adjusted so that it prints or plots as black. But the Problem is i have 100's of different viewports, and the overrides for each lines are the same by each viewport. That means i have to go into each viewport seperatly and adjust each class seperatly, a rather timely and unefficient process. Is it not possible to set a printing style in VW that overrides each layout generically? Quote Link to comment
Kevin McAllister
Not sure if it helps or not, but you can use the Eyedropper tool to cut and paste overrides from one Viewport to another. Kevin Quote Link to comment
sean.simpson
That will help speed the process up a little for sure Quote Link to comment
