  1. That will help speed the process up a little for sure
  2. The Video isnt really what im looking for, but your point about class overrides in viewports is. Until now this is how i adjust lines to print or plot with the desired properties, eg. a line that is red in the drawing area is adjusted so that it prints or plots as black. But the Problem is i have 100's of different viewports, and the overrides for each lines are the same by each viewport. That means i have to go into each viewport seperatly and adjust each class seperatly, a rather timely and unefficient process. Is it not possible to set a printing style in VW that overrides each layout generically?
  3. Could anyone advise me on how to create plot styles for plotting? I cant seem to figure out how to bring this into my drawings without going into each layout and altering each class one by one so that they print out with the properties that i want, eg. structural walls that are drawn with a red line always print black. I am using VW 2010 now but i am more used to using 'plot styles' or 'pen styles' in programs like AutoCAD or Nemetschek Allplan. any ideas or efficient methods for VW?
  4. yes, im trying to get it to dock on a Windows machine and it Looks like its not possible. Not the end of the world, at least the script works!
  5. It seems that exactly what i want is what exists in the newer Versions of Vectorworks, namely the quickpreferences Options and the Background Color preferences. Thanks JimW Michaelk, the Little script is the alternative that i would have then asked for, so thanks for providing it, it works a treat and does exactly what i wanted!! One question, how can i lock the scrip toolbar into my General program layout? somehow i cant embed it in the program layout....
  6. I am using Vectorworks 2010 and would like to find out a quick way to change from a white background to a black background without always going into Program Settings. Also, when i have a black background, how can i set up the program so that when i enter the layout area the background is white?? Basically, we use a white background to make design drawings with black lines and a black background to make technical drawings, and the ability to jump quickly between the two would save me a lot of hassel. Any ideas??????
