Window Classes how do they work?

OK, created a new clean blank file > created a new standard window > added an exterior trim > assigned the exterior trim to the Sill class > hide Sill class > no change?

What am I missing???

Confirmed here. Classed every single item and shut it off as a test, the exterior trim just doesn't disappear no matter what I assign it to. They seem tied directly to the Window's class visibility.

Same with Interior trim as well, it looks like.

Submitting as an issue now.

Question (and please excuse me if this has already been asked and answered): do you have "use class attributes" checked/on in the OIP?

Looks like these settings apply to the 3D components of a Window, not the 2D. This is stated in the Help documentation, but it does not mention it in the actual interface itself.

Submitting a request to have it made clearer in the dialogue box text.

Peter I assume you mean the Attributes Palette not the OIP! (that was actually the culprit in 3D in this case)?

Jim it would be even better if you could submit a wish for it to also work in Top/plan view because I actually need to hide the trim in Top/Plan and have it showing in 3D. Another solution would be for the trims etc. to also be connected to the Plan Detail checkbox in the OIP.........
