willofmaine Posted April 18, 2013 Share Posted April 18, 2013 Vectorworks 2008 had this great thing where each Design Layer had it's own Layer Plane (x/y plane parallel to the Ground Plane) with its own Z=0. In VW 2013, there seem to be lingering hints of this concept (for example, walls seem to be drawn sitting on the Design Layer's Layer Plane), but all too often PIOs and hybrid symbols seem to end up at the file's absolute Z=0, rather than at the Design Layer's own Z=0.
