JayJay
Hey Guys i work in Spotlights with 2 fixturetype - A HUNG and a STAND Symbol. That means for every Symbol / light in my library i have 2 to choose from. Therefor when i printout the legend list i do get the count for hung and stand lights regarding to my file. Is there a way to produce a hung symbol and a stand symbol so that the legend is showing only the "main" fixture? e.g used in file: Intellaspot hung - 3 Intellaspot stand - 3 legend is showing: Intellaspot - 6 I hope u know what i mean thank u Jay Quote Link to comment
ChadL
I don't know for sure, but If your symbol is a referencing another symbol maybe this would work. So your Hung & Stand symbol would have the Intellaspot symbol embedded in it. Quote Link to comment
JayJay
ehh..ok. never heard about that. ok, i am just using Spotlight for few months. any idea or guide how this would work? by the way...how do you guys handle this? Quote Link to comment
ChadL
I don't have a symbol for Hung & Stand. I use 1 symbol and change the 3D Orientation. Select the symbol and near the bottom of your OIP should be a check mark for set 3d orientation. If you click that you should get options that allow you to rotate it in 3d. If you were going to try what I suggested above, use 1 symbol, and put it in your document. Change the 3D orientation, then save that as a new symbol. This was you original Symbol is being referenced within the new symbol. When I get a chance I can try this out to see if it works. Quote Link to comment
JayJay
hey Chad yeah...i know the 3D orientation issue. This was also thought doing it like that. I just played with it. But my default hung fixtures do have clamps on the base. when i just rotate the fixture, then the clamps are still there and not needed when standing on the floor. the other way is not to use clamps Quote Link to comment
JayJay
hey i tried that just using the 3d orientation. hmm I still don't know what to do with the clamps. Your hung fixtures do not have clamps? regards jay Quote Link to comment
ChadL
No, none of my movers that hang have clamps. I just put it closer to the truss. For most of my renders that little detail doesn't matter because the movers are not detailed at all. Quote Link to comment
