DE-Tech
I am trying to create a new custom title block in Architect 2013 on Windows 7 Pro. I have created a new Record Format and the text linking is working fine apart from one thing, the multi-line fields. I have appended a # sign to the field name as indicated in the help manuals but the text is running out in a single line rather than wrapping around as I was expecting it to do. I tried inserting one of the pre-loaded title blocks but the same thing is happening with this. Does anybody have any suggestions? Quote Link to comment
Dieter @ DWorks
VW doesn't put the text on multiple lines by itself. You need to enter your text in the larger text box with soft enters between the lines. Quote Link to comment
DE-Tech
Hi DWorks, By "soft enter" I assume you mean SHIFT + RETURN? I have tried this but it just moves me down to the next field? Quote Link to comment
Dieter @ DWorks
Hi DWorks, By "soft enter" I assume you mean SHIFT + RETURN? I have tried this but it just moves me down to the next field? In VW, you have two enters, the normal enter is the one on by your numeric keyboard. The 'soft' enter in VW is the one you use while typing tekst. Quote Link to comment
bcd
Thanks DWorks, I've been looking for that for ever! Quote Link to comment
DE-Tech
Thanks DWorks. I seem to have solved the problem. I was originally trying to load it as a symbol and edit the info directly in the Object Info box which is why it wasn't working. Once I saved it to the proper library and inserted as a title block it worked fine. Cheers Quote Link to comment
