VvierA
Hello, we are using Vectorworks Fundamentals and have the following problem: We'd like to use 'walls' to draw walls in floor plans and to automatically generate lists with the area of the walls. This works great. But when we export the files as dwg or dxf for other experts we'd like to export 'clean' line drawings without the 3d parts of the walls. Is there a way to do that in Vectorworks Fundamentals? Thanks for Tipps VvierA Quote Link to comment
Dieter @ DWorks
Yes, when exporting to dwg, you can choose to export only the 2D info, if I remember correctly. Quote Link to comment
GWS
You could use Modify>Convert To Lines and then choose 'Hidden Line Rendering', or if you're using VW2013 there is an 'Export as flattened 2D Graphics' check box in the Export DXF dialogue box. Either way you will lose any wall data and behaviour. Quote Link to comment
