VincentCuclair
There is something seriously wrong with the latest (Lion?) Apple Software update !!! I tried downloading and installing it yesterday and everything seems fine until the reboot. A 'panic' error message appears and then a dialog prompts a force reboot, after forcing a reboot the same message appears time and again. I did some googling on this and apparently it affects MacBook Pros. Be careful, better to wait a week or so till everything is sorted out. Btw. I tried twice believing the fault was mine. Same thing both times, I'm VERY happy I have Time Machine!! Edited June 13, 2012 by Vincent C Quote Link to comment
Guest Jim Kelly
It was related to a Thunderbolt Firmware update I believe, and I think Apple has pulled it from updates until this is resolved. Quote Link to comment
IanH
I got the reminders for 4 updates yesterday and thankfully I ignored it. I just had todays reminder but only 3 updates. The missing one is indeed the Thunderbolt Gigabit port update. Nice to see that Apple have not buried their head in the sand and have pulled this one, unlike other issues where that have not been so forthcoming with pertinent action. Quote Link to comment
