Mike_Borean
Hello all, Is it just me? When I import a PDF (floor plan, for example) VW runs very slow. I'm running Windows XP on a desktop with an Intel Duo CPU @ 2.66 GHz and 16m of RAM. I know, it is getting old, but normally runs VW fine. Also, is there a way to trim or split an imported PDF? Thanks in advance. Mike Borean Murphys, CA Quote Link to comment
Dieter @ DWorks
VW always runs slow when having a pdf visible in the drawing. When you don't need to snap to the contents of it, referencing it from another drawing may fasten VW. Edited June 11, 2012 by DWorks Quote Link to comment
michaelk
In my experience it depends on the PDF. (Maybe the number of layers in the pdf?) You can also ungroup the pdf to get the lines (assuming it's a vector-based pdf) and VW runs MUCH faster. hth mk Quote Link to comment
