RFabrizioLD
I have a symbol I created for my lineset schedule. It is linked to a record format. Is it possible to fill the record format information with data in a worksheet? Ideally I would just cut and paste the excel lineset schedule into the worksheet for easy input and editing. Thanks in advance for any help. Rob Quote Link to comment
Kevin McAllister
It should be. I have done something similar. My line set schedule symbol contains a line set symbol duplicated for each line set. I created a worksheet that counts and sorts based on line set #. When I update the worksheet it updates the linked text in the corresponding line set symbol record. As long as your Excel layout matches your Vectorworks worksheet layout cutting and pasting shouldn't be a problem. Kevin Quote Link to comment
RFabrizioLD
Thanks for the suggestion. I go worksheet to display the linesets, however I can't get them to sort. I have the Worksheet setup as a Database, and can't get the sub-rows to sort. I added the Function '=VALUE('xxx.xxx') but it still won't sort by lineset number. Thanks. Quote Link to comment
