Valentina_Cn
Hello everybody! I need your help!!! How can I do a 3d spiral with a varying section? Benson Shaw
If you know or can estimate the xyz values, you could place several 3d loci to represent points along the exterior edge of the walkway, then connect them with a NURBS curve. Extrude Along Path to form the walkway if it has constant width. Otherwise, you will need a second set of 3d Loci & NURBS for the inner edge of the walkway. Then make a ruled Loft between the 2 NURBS. Try the simple loft first. If that is not satisfactory try the Birail Sweep loft. The walkway appears to have some sharp bends or corners. The entire walk may need to be modeled as segments if the lofts or sweeps get confused. Post back with your progress. This is an interesting and difficult model. Especially if you have only the photos and no plans, elevations or other guides for xyz placements. Good luck! -B Quote Link to comment
