DGFarley
Hi, I'm trying to create an object in VW2011 with Renderworks (which will probably be RP in real life) that in not transparent, but will let light through and show shadows cast by objects behind it when lit form behind. Any ideas? I've tried an object set as smoked glass, but this does work, I only get a shadow in the rear face (the side the light and objects are one). Cheers, David Quote Link to comment
JBenghiat
Are you just trying to render something for communication purposes (as opposed to trying out ideas)? I would just use constant reflectivity, make the shadow image in photoshop, and apply it as a texture. -Josh Quote Link to comment
DGFarley
Hi, I am hoping to to work out a bunch of ideas, changing position of light and objects etc. rather than just visualise it. cheers, David Quote Link to comment
Nicholas Kargel
I would try creating a texture with the reflectivity shader on "translucent" or "translucent plastic." I do find it odd that those appear in reflectivity and not transparency. Quote Link to comment
