kestetson
Is there any easy way in Vectorworks 2012 to do a count of all truss used in the drawing? Quote Link to comment
michaelk
Yep. It's really easy with worksheets. If you are using generic VW trusses you get the length and divide by the connection interval. If you are using symbols, just count them. example attached. hth mk Quote Link to comment
kestetson
Is there a way to count the generic truss? My problem for this show is I have a lot of corner blocks and various lengths of truss throughout the rig. I would love to be able to use the count function and see a spreadsheet of all the sticks I need. Is this possible without converting everything to a symbol? Kyle Attached is a portion of my truss layout. What's the best way to get a count without measuring each run and counting sticks? Edited November 9, 2011 by kestetson Quote Link to comment
michaelk
I think with generic truss your choices are 1. Make each section of truss a separate object 2. Use some kind of calculation of the length and the connection intervals. Option 2 requires that you either class each different truss length and/or use correct connection intervals in the trusses. mk Quote Link to comment
