Paola Posted April 26, 2011 Share Posted April 26, 2011 I am new in VW and trying to make a simple sloped terrain in 3d. i have no idea how to start, I guess i would draw some 2d polys and then convert them to 3d polys? then I am trying to use the "create site model" tool but its not working...please help me... Vectorworks, Inc Employee Tamsin Slatter Posted April 26, 2011 Vectorworks, Inc Employee Share Posted April 26, 2011 Hi Paola You can draw 3D polys directly from the 3D modelling toolset and then set the appropriate Z value for each contour. Alternatively, you can use the Stake Object tool to record spot heights recorded on site. Or you can import 3D points from a survey if you have one. Once you have completed the "source data" you can select it all and run Create Site Model.
