rjtiedeman
After rendering even a simple file RenderWORKS 9.5 WILL NOT EXPORT A RENDERING! Not even a very simple cube. When I go to export the image, nothing happens, not even the menu pops up. Not one @#$#%$^^$$# thing. I have used this feature a lot so I know it used to work. What happened. I just spent several hours re-down loading VW 9.5 update and reinstalling the complete program back to version 9.1. The only thing I remember putting in recently is carbon 1.5 and QuickTime 5.05. I have restarted with only the Apple extensions on and no luck. Help!!! Bob Tiedemann Quote Link to comment
TiTaNiuM sAMuRai
The same thing happened to me with upgrading one machine to vw9.0.1 and mine to vw8.5.2, but updating Quicktime solved the problem. If there's yet another update, get it. Ensure that you include the 'authoring tools' in your installation! What OS are you using? With OS 9.1, and QT 5.02, I was able to work fine. rjtiedeman
Thank you TiTaNiuM sAMuRai. I reinstalled Quicktime 5.05 from the apple web site and this time installed the middle level (recommended) and all is well again. It is a small screw up that needs more attention in the help menu. TiTaNiuM sAMuRai
Also somewhat odd is Nemetschek not having internal coding for image export but depending on a third party... Quote Link to comment
Guest
What's odd about that? Should we spend tons of programming effort creating and debugging code that has already been done for us for free? Or should we focus on the CAD elements and let image format experts handle the image file creation? While relying on a third party can be problematic (as was discovered here), it also allows us to provide more features for less cost. If Apple adds a new image format, you get it by just installing the new QuickTime. (just speaking for myself, not for NNA) Quote Link to comment
rjtiedeman
This was only a problem because it interrupted my work on a weekend when I couldn't call tech support. I always start my search with the tech support board. The community of users is a great resource that very few companies have tapped for support help. Thanks, Bob Tiedemann Quote Link to comment
