Bruce Truax
I have created two very simple files. One is a simple box on a single layer. When render with OpenGL and rotate the model the OpenGL rendering is retained. In the second file I have two layers. On each layer I create a simple box. I then add a third model layer and link to the other two layers. In this file the OpenGL rendered model is never retained when I rotate even though I have set retain OpneGL model to always. I am running VW 11.0.1 on a Mac Powerbook 1.5GHZ with 1.5 GB ram on OSX 10.3.6. Quote Link to comment
Jonathan Pickup
From the menu bar choose File > Preferences > VectorWorks Preferences then choose the 3D tab. Drag the Retain Rendering Model all the way to the right. Does this fix it? Quote Link to comment
Bruce Truax
I already tried this. I should also mention that I have other, much more complex models which render and rotate without reverting to wireframe. Quote Link to comment
Jonathan Pickup
have you tried the detailed/responsive slider on the same dialog box? Quote Link to comment
Bruce Truax
Yes I have, with no difference. Quote Link to comment
MikeN
I ran into this the other day....confused the hell out of me after making dozens of models. Simple mistake, I'd fortotten to set the layer options to 'Active Only' before viewing the model on the layer link. Once set, problem solved. Quote Link to comment
