Oyvind
See the attached file. I have found that VW Unfold Surfaces command can only be used with simple basic 3D-shapes. Anything else give a distorted result. Example: Unfolding a simple cylinder produces the expected result, a rectangular. Unfolding the same cylinder but now with cutouts also produce not the expected result. This should off course be a rectangular with cutouts, but it is ... something else. Maybe someone can check if VW10 gives the correct flattened shape? Quote Link to comment
Kevin McAllister
It actually won't unwrap in VW2010. It gives an error message. How was the subtraction done? Because everything is already converted to Nurbs, I have no way to test the unwrap other than on the Nurbs. If you reposted with the original solid subtraction I could give it a try. Personally, I would report your result as a bug. Kevin Quote Link to comment
Oyvind
All objects where extrusions and all subtracted in one operation. I have tested a bit more and I find that when the objects to be subtracted are fewer and larger the end-result is better. Quote Link to comment
