Jim Terry
I have 2010 Spotlight. Have never had an import problem till now. The sender converted a Visio to AutoCad. Now when I import to sheet scale, the drawing isn't even close to being to scale. It's way to small. What should be 10' is 10". Scale info is correct in dialog screens Any ideas? michaelk
The quickest way is this: Select all > Modify > Scale Objects > Symmetric by distance > Current Distance = 10" New Distance = 10' or use the scale button to indicate a known dimension an enter that value in the New Distance field. hth Quote Link to comment
Ray Libby
You can also correct this on import in the DXF DWG Import Options dialog box under Model Space Units. The default is Determine Automatically. It looks like you need to set the units to "feet". Quote Link to comment
Jim Terry
That worked. Never had to set that dialog. The default "Determine Automatically" has always worked. But setting it to feet was the fix. Thanks. My work around was to scale everything 12x. Glad to see the "scale by distance" explained in the other post, so thanks for that as well. Quote Link to comment
Nigel P
Hi Jim I have a default template sheet set at scale 1:1. I tend to import single dwg so the dialogue box comes up. In Units settings: Use Vectorworks Document units In Model space: this scale 1:1 centre after import is checked. This generally works fine. If it is still not to scale, try Modify / Scale objects If you select symmetric by distance, you can measure a known dimension with the measure on the right and type in the distance it should be in New Distance, then have scale text & Entire Drawing buttons checked. Good luck! Nige Quote Link to comment
