2D lines = 3D lines?

Please, please help.

Is there any way to keep 2D lines 2D? I normally trace over 2D lines in different 3D projections in order to get the extrusions in the right plane. It seems now, that in v2010, all 2D lines are just 3D lines with no "Z" value (just like autocad).

Is there any way around this? It's making it hard to do any 3D stuff from 2D drafting.

In the OIP for the line set the Plane pull down to "Screen Plane"
