sancho1981
Is there a good way to create lighting sections in VW2009? Right now I have been trying to create a viewport on a new sheet layer with a side view of the 3-d set, but I can only get it in wireframe. I would like to build a set in 3-d space, switch to side view and draw my beam spreads and sightlines. Is this a pipedream? Thanks for your help. Quote Link to comment
michaelk
Not a pipe dream at all. VW does this really well. one way: 1. in a design layer, plan view. View>Create Section Viewport...> draw the section line ( indicate which way to "look")> Pick a sheet layer. 2. in the resulting section viewport's OIP set background render to hidden line or open GL or ... another way: 1. Create a viewport w/ the appropriate layers and classes on a sheet layer. 2. Select the viewport View>Create Section Viewport...> draw the section line ( indicate which way to "look") you get the idea... either way: once you have the section viewport, double click it, choose annotations and draw your beams and sight lines. hth michaelk Quote Link to comment
