Yes, that would be cool, although there are way more pressing fixes and improvements to the Site Model, so I wouldn't hold your breath (my 2?).

But I do have a really easy "fix" for your particular issue (as shown in the example posted): Just place a solid black extrude at the end of the cylinder. That ought to get you visually pretty close...
