MaxStudio
I need a string to spit out text that says the following: 10'-0" i can't get this to work. I create a string variable T1: STRING; I then try to assign the value to the variable T1:='10'-0"'; << That doesn't work I then try to used double quotes T1:='10'''-0"'; << That too doesn't work... How do i get this to work? Edited April 24, 2009 by MaxStudio Quote Link to comment
MaxStudio
ok after some more indepth research i found my answer.... apparently the following works: T1:='10''-0"'; I only needed 1 extra quote before the single quote. Edited April 24, 2009 by MaxStudio Quote Link to comment
Pat Stanford
The easier way to be readable is to use a concat and a character string. T1:=Concat('10',chr(39),'-0"'); or T1:=Concat('10',chr(39),'-0',chr(34)); I use this so my eyes don't go crossed trying to figure out which are single and double quotes. The numbers for characters are available at http://www.asciitable.com Quote Link to comment
