Bruce Kieffer
I've drawn my house using VW. The basement walls are 12" block. During my remodel, I built 2" furred walls in part of the basement, and 4" walls to cover the block on other parts. I have windows and doors in the block walls. What's the best way to add the 2" and 4" components? I assume I need to split the block walls and add the different components to the split sections. Any other ideas? Quote Link to comment
Jeffrey W Ouellette
Change the wall styles for those walls to new wall styles which include the furring and brick veneer. That way, when doors and windows are inserted, they properly "cut" the walls. Quote Link to comment
Bruce Kieffer
Thanks Jeffrey. Half the length of the wall is furred with 2x2s, the other half is furred with 2x4s set the 3-1/2" way for depth. So do I break the wall in two and make each section with it's unique components, or is there a way to make this as one wall? Quote Link to comment
Jeffrey W Ouellette
Yes, split the wall. Quote Link to comment
