steverschnitzel
I'm having trouble selecting hatched polygons where the hatch has no background fill. Is there a constraints setting combination that works well for this? This is in detail drawings where objects are crowded close together. Option dragging over the object is risky because groups get selected by accident- then sometimes deleted. I'm wasting time trying to find an object handle to select. And I'm zoomed in too close to draw a marque around the whole object. Quote Link to comment
Dave P
As I understand it, any place in an object that has no fill is not selectable in that space (whether the "no fill" is in a hatch, or for the object as a whole). You can select the polygon by clicking on one of the sides or on any line/figure that makes up the hatch. Quote Link to comment
mike m oz
The problem Steve is referring to is a longstanding one and still exists in VW 2009. Often you can't select a hatched 2D shape by one of its edges. When the hatch has no background fill it can be exceptionally difficult to select the 2D shape and often the only way you can do it is to click on one of the hatch lines. Quote Link to comment
