Pulling down classes menu makes me crash

HI there, I'm new to the board and I'm having a problem with vectorworks. (Using 12.5). On some files when I pull down the classes menu it causes vectorworks to crash.

It doesn't happen with all my files, just most of them.

It doesn't happen on my co worker's computer.

I've tried doing a purge of unused stuff which seemed to work for a few files

I tried saving back to 11 then re-importing to 12.5 but that had no effect.

I tried exporting to dwg then reimporting but that would just cause untold havoc

I'm thinking of copying everything into a new file but A) I assume the problem would just transfer with it, B) I would have to redo all my viewports and saved views and C)I don't know if it would work

Any other ideas?

Welcome to the list.

First try updating to 12.5.3

It would help to have your computer specs including OS version. Create a signature with that info and your version of Vectorworks and it will show with every message.

Also, try resetting your preferences (from the Vectorworks Preferences). You will have to reset the prefs, but it may help.

I think it's a corrupt workspace. You can try to make a new one (or copy the one from your colleage).

I have had a similar problem recently with files originating with imported dwg files. When the class menu is opened the application crashes. Using 2008v13.0.0. Any thoughts?
