m20 0 Posted January 6, 2001 dear all thanks for the reply, but i am still having problems.... when i dimension, i cannot reduce the size of the 45 degree slash used to indicate the length of the line.... i can reduce the default arrowhead, and i can reduce the dimension arrowhead slash if i ungroup the dimension, but then i lose its integrity... if i change the class default and then dimension... no change... any ideas anyone..... david ps has anyone noticed that the class window is pretty useless if you draw with a black screen Quote Share this post Link to post
Ken 0 Posted January 6, 2001 Dimension tick modifications can be made under: Document Preferences/ Dimensions/ Dimension Standard/ Custom Dimensions/ Edit/ Linear Markers/ Length Along that route, you'll notice other parameters such as slash thickness, which I think is one of the niftiest little features of VW. And drawing with a black screen? That preference seems to be an archaic carry-over from old cathode-ray tube screens and Autocad. I think drawing with a white background is more natural -- like writing on white paper. ------------------ Kenneth Quote Share this post Link to post
PeterT 3 Posted January 8, 2001 Kenneth is absolutly right. The only thing I might add is that if you are not already using a custom dimension standard, you will have to create a new one first, then edit it. (you cannot edit any of the predefined dimension standards). Quote Share this post Link to post
