Unable to Open

I just installed Vectorworks 2008 Designer. Now I am unable to open it and get started. I click on it and my Mac acts like it is going to open it but then it never shows up in my dock and does not open. Any advice??

Well, if you're doubting that it loaded correctly then I'd remove the program (Make certain you remove attached VW08 files (Application Data, Quicktime, etc) outside of your VW08 Folder and then reinstall. Or as a more basic system check, reboot your computer.

Did you run disk utilities after install?

Thank you for your help. Ray, I ran Repair Disk Permissions and Verified Disk is there something else I should do?

I think I figured out that it is not opening because I had not entered my serial number. But now it will not accept my serial number it says that it is invalid. Any advice?

One thint is to check whether your serial number was entered correctly:

VW license/serial numbers do not use the letter "O". They always use the number zero for all of those oval characters.

Serial numbers are often shown/printed with dashes between groups of alpha numeric characters. When you enter the serial number fields for initial VW log in, do not enter any dashes or spaces.

I think the initial log in field is case sensitive, so press your caps lock key before you enter the number.

Dongle is needed in some markets.
