cls
I have searched quite a bit about this and it doesn't look like there has been an answer. Is it really impossible to summarize multiple windows and doors with the same id? i.e. I have five windows labeled w-01 and if I summarize them, the size of all five is added in the width and height column. Is there a way to create a schedule without listing multiples of the same window or door? Quote Link to comment
Pat Stanford
Just above the column headers in the worksheet is a SUM icon. Turn on the Show Database Headers and drag the icon to the header cell of the column you want to summerize by. Then you can turn the Database Headers back off. Pat Quote Link to comment
cls
Thanks for the reply, but that's exactly the problem. When I use the sum tool, the opening sizes are added. So if there are two windows each 2 feet wide, the schedule reads one window 4 feet wide when it is summarized. Quote Link to comment
Pat Stanford
So modify the formula to something like =window.width/count() And you will get the average width (which will be the width if they are all the same. Pat Quote Link to comment
cls
can this be done on the default window schedule or does the whole schedule have to be custom? Quote Link to comment
Pat Stanford
Yes, you should be able to edit the standard schedule. Find the column for the width and just add the /count() part to the formula. Pat Quote Link to comment
