cwailes
I am new to VectorWorks 2008 and I would like to know how to create a roof that has a main section that is at one height, and then say an entryway that is another height? I am not sure how to do this. Can anyone give me a hand or point me to a tutorial that explains this. Quote Link to comment
CipesDesign
Try using more than one roof (or roof face). Quote Link to comment
Chad McNeely
Raise the bearing height of the roof surfaces that you want elevated. Note that this will often crash VW, so save first. If crashes occur, try altering the order in which you raise the bearing heights. Below are the steps starting from a plain roof object. Quote Link to comment
cwailes
Exactly how do you do that? Do I have to go into the roof group and edit it? Or do I just click on one of the edit points and raise the bearing height? I believe I have tried just clicking on one of the edit points and I did not notice a change. Quote Link to comment
Chad McNeely
The raised roof in this example has three bearing lines, so clicking on each of the three little blue squares and raising the bearing height in the pop up window is all it takes. This is using the "create roof" command. After the roof os created, just clicking in it will hi-light the bearing line vertices. Quote Link to comment
