deelicious88
Hi, I'm still fresh in VectorWorks and I have no idea whatsoever about Visio. I have been given Visio files that I have to convert to VectorWorks files to make 3D vision of it. What would be the most efficient way to do so without loosing too much info? Thanks a lot Quote Link to comment
mike m oz
It doesn't appear that you can: - http://www.microsoft.com/whdc/xps/default.mspx - http://blogs.msdn.com/jeff_bell/archive/2005/10/27/485937.aspx You might have to get the file in PDF format and redraw/model it all. deelicious88
I know I was told I can't convert straight from Visio to VectorWorks, but Visio can be converted to CAD file which can be read in VectorWorks. But I couldn't open it in VectorWorks, it came up with a blank page. I'm confused... Quote Link to comment
mike m oz
How do you convert it to a CAD program and which format? From what I read the only two export options were PDF and XML (Microsoft's PDF). Quote Link to comment
RickR
I believe there are some PDF-> DWG tools out on the net. Try: http://www.freecadapps.com/swcategory.php?page=category&value=UTL-CVS&orgvalue=UTL Then you can DWG in. Caution, converting 2D to 3D is time consuming! Good luck Quote Link to comment
